Who's Your Hair Crush?

Have you ever seen a picture or a person with hair so fierce that for an instant you wish you had hair like theirs?  I have and I think you all have been there and done that too.   I found the picture below and thought her hair was gorgeous!  I love how full and luscious it looks.  I don’t know who she is but I love how her hair looks.  Anyway, who is your hair crush?  Please share and don’t hold back.  Now after you finish crushing about someone’s hair, show yours some love so it doesn’t feel abandoned.  I love my hair, but every now and then I get a crush rush and have to stop and stare.  Please share your hair crushes with us!

Hair Update

I hope that everyone is have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hair Update:
The last time that I posted about my hair, I shared my way of trimming/clipping ends. The first week after my trim I wore my hair in a low puff saturated with the Nourishing Hair Butter that I was giving away. I also sealed in the moisture with a new product (coming soon) of mine. Last week I wore my hair in twists. It was the first time that I had gone nearly a full week without taking them down and wearing a twist out. Yea for me!!

Wh
enever I twisted my hair in the past, I would usually do it on wet hair. Well this time after co-washing, detangling, and deep conditioning I blow dried my hair using the cool and warm settings interchangeably to stretch my hair. I then proceeded to twist my hair starting from the back. Usually when I twist my hair when it is wet, my twists shrink within a few minutes of being twisted. This time they didn't do that. I was so pleased with the "HANG" (Length) of the twists. After the first couple of days of wearing them (shown in the pics below) they began to shrivel or "draw" up as we say here in the south :o). I didn't mind because I rocked them for 9 days! That was a first for me. They had lots of body/movement as well.

Maintenance while my hair was in twists:

Moisturized every other day
Sealed hair and ends daily
Slept with a satin bonnet in place
Pulled hair up in a high bun while working out

Today I am wearing a new set of twists and I love them as well. I am going to try and style them. I will post the pics and styles if I do.

I just wanted to give you all an update. I pray that you all are doing well!

Until Next Time,

P90x Update

Happy work it out Wednesday!!

I began another round of the Classic version of P90x on January 4th. This program is composed of 3 phases which equates to a complete round and I am excited to say that I have completed phase 1!!! I hit day 30 of the program on yesterday and I see results! I took my 30 day pictures but I don't plan on showing the progress pictures until I complete this entire round of P90x.

I am trying my best to follow the nutrition guide as close as I possibly can in order to give this program a fair try. I've completed 2 complete rounds of this program already, but I did not follow the nutrition guide. Although I saw results each time, I didn't see as many results as I could have had I followed the entire program thoroughly.

I have to be honest in saying that it takes discipline in order to do this program. Each of the exercises are at least 54 minutes long. This includes 5-6 minutes of warming up and approximately a 5 minute cool down. There are days that I don't feel like doing the exercise for that day, but I make myself go ahead and do it. Afterwards I am always glad that I did.

Feel free to share your results or experiences with P90x if you have any.

"Bring It!"

2 Things: Thanks and Hydration

I hope that everyone is having a Terrific Tuesday!

I want to say thank you to everyone that responded to my sample giveaway. I really appreciate it! I hope that the
Nourishing Hair Butter assisted with keeping your hair moisturized. Remember to seal that moisture in with an oil. Be on the lookout for more sample giveaways of products that I will be releasing in the near future.

Question...Are you all staying hydrated? Please do. Some people relate dehydration with the summertime heat. I am not saying that this is not true but dehydration can occur anytime your body's water balance is off; meaning the amount of water that leaves the body is greater than the amount being taken in. Water leaves your body in various ways that include sweating, breathing, urinating and through bowel movements. Can you all believe that our bodies are estimated to be about 60 to 70 percent water? We have to make sure that we replenish the water that we lose in order to remain healthy. Symptoms that you are dehydrated include muscle cramps, dry mouth, nausea, heart palpitations, no sweating, etc. It is essential that you are getting the appropriate amount of fluids, preferably water, each day. Try drinking a glass of water with each meal and in between each meal.

Remaining hydrated is very important in order for you to go about your day to day activities. Hydration does wonders for you hair, skin, and nails as well.
