How does your significant other view your natural hair?

I have no significant other, single girl, but I feel if he loves you, he should love all of you including hair.

How long have you been natural?

I’ve been natural for a total of about 10 years with about 3 moments of weakness (perm), lol.

What encouraged you to go natural?

I felt it was time, and I got tired of salons with the waiting.

What is your current regimen?

I wash bi-weekly with castile soap or Giovanni. Weekly I give myself a scrub for my scalp with brown sugar and VO5 conditioner (any kind), co-wash with Herbal Essences to help deal with the tangles, DT with AOHSO, and use a leave in. Right now I’m using Giovanni, and I moisturize with aloe and shea butter mixture. I oil my scalp with EVOO and seal with castor oil.

What has been the best part of your natural experience?

The best part of my experience has been the enjoying the process of learning my hair. I love it so much that I have been spreading the news and helping others with natural hair.

What is your natural hair plan for the next year?

I want to incorporate the henna process and do more protective styles for my hair.

Sprucing Up Your Satin Scarf and a "Giveaway"

What does a satin scarf + earrings + lip gloss = ?

Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it..... it equals bedtime cuteness! Have you ever thought about what your husband thinks of you when you are all tied up and ready for bed? I know I know, the name is a little funny but it is great for the hair.

Knuckle Butter is a great moisturizer for normal to dry hair. Apply to your hair while it is damp or dry. Make sure you let it melt by rubbing it between your palms before applying to your hair. A little goes a long way. Knuckle Butter is also a great skin moisturizer. Say goodbye to those rough dry areas of your skin. Our Knuckle Butter moisturizes the knuckles, elbows, knees, and in between the fingers. Remember, a little goes a long way.
